As many of you are aware, in October the VFW Foundation began accepting applications for the Post Pandemic Relief Grant (PPRG), which allows eligible VFW Posts to apply for a grant of up to $2500 to help cover Post building expenses such as mortgage and lease payments, property tax, insurance, etc. As of last week, about half of the $680,000 grant budget had been approved for grants to about 140 VFW Posts.
On Dec 14, 2020, the VFW Foundation Board of Directors approved our proposal to relax the eligibility requirements so that more Posts may be eligible to apply for the PPRG. Attached is a 1 page document that outlines the updated criteria. Please help us get the word out to VFW Post leaders in your Departments.

Eligibility Requirement Updates – December 2020
We are proud to announce that Post 10232 has received a $1000 grant towards the purchase of a new A/C Unit. This is a very much welcomed, appreciated and needed grant.Lewis Memorial VFW Post 10232 is please that we have received a grant in the amount of $14,000 to assist in building updates and renovations.We have completed the installation of our new Central Air unit. Please stop in during the hot summer months and enjoy the much needed cooling system.Big THANK YOU to Julie Denotter for her hard work and effort in raising the money for the new carpet in the entryway.We have begun the renovation of the entryway. The front wall knotty pine is done and the new advertising screen is up and running.
